A
Short RUPA History
In
early 1963, the then Senior Vice President of
Flight Operations, Dick Petty, wrote to Bill
Kennedy offering a suggestion that the retired
pilots of United Airlines form a social
organization to keep in contact with each other.
At the first RUPA meeting in October, 1963, Bill
Kennedy was elected President, Bill Williams, Vice
President, and Harry Huking, Secretary- Treasurer. |
