A Short History
In early 1963, the then Senior Vice President of Flight Operations, Dick Petty, wrote to Bill Kennedy offering a suggestion that the retired pilots of United Airlines form a social organization to keep in contact with each other. At the first RUPA meeting in October, 1963, Bill Kennedy was elected President, Bill Williams, Vice President, and Harry Huking, Secretary- Treasurer.

The purpose of this site is to act as a supplement of the RUPANEWS magazine. Information of timely importance to the general membership, received between issues of our magazine, will most often be available on this Web Site.
We are a non-profit organization. It is prohibited to use any personal membership data or RUPA information, acquired in any manner, from this Web Site, the RUPANEWS, the RUPA Directory or any RUPA source for commercial purposes
